Brenda realized her son needed help with his drinking by the time he was 17 years old. His drinking was out of control after his father died. Brenda says she was enabling her son by providing money, food, and shelter. Once he moved back to his home town, he attempted suicide. Shortly after, he found Aurora Recovery Centre. The two now have a great relationship, live with the gift of recovery, and are happy.
