Heal. Connect. Recover.

RECOVERY FOR LIFE.

Aurora Recovery Centre (ARC) is a world-class addiction and mental health rehabilitation centre that provides safe, comfortable, holistic, evidence-based treatments, 24-hour medical detox, and continuing care for our members. We have an unwavering commitment to Member-First Culture and personalized treatment programs. We treat and work with our members to ensure long-term success. Our staff teaches our members useful tools for wholehearted living so when they leave ARC they are ready for recovery for life.

Treatment Process

Heal

Detox & Assessment:  Our members start their treatment in our 24-hour medical detox program where we conduct medical, clinical, and mental health assessments. This is the first step in creating their personalized treatment plan for recovery.

Personalized Counselling: We tailor to our members’ specific needs, provide two counsellors who guide our members through their treatment plans, along with their therapies, activities, and workshops.

Connect

Group Programming: Through our group therapies, Twelve Steps groups, adjunctive therapies, and structured activities, members build healthy relationships to prepare themselves for a life in recovery.

Family Program: One way our members overcome the challenges of addiction is by rebuilding relationships with their loved ones. We have weekly family programs and workshops for family and friends of our members in Gimli and Winnipeg.

Recover

Post Treatment:We offer continuing care to assess and monitor our member’s reintegration into their relationships. Our staff at ARC Counselling are always available for consultation, and individual, family, couples and group therapies.

Continuing Care: Our members have comprehensive recover plans that address everything they must do to maintain a  sober, healthy, and happy life once they complete their programming at the centre.

Why Us?

The Aurora Difference

For years,  Manitoba rehabilitation centres would focus on treating the addiction, but not the underlying mental health concerns and relationship problems that, left untreated, make a full recovery difficult. Facilities would act as alcohol treatment centres with a drug treatment program, instead of as places of holistic recovery. At ARC, our two counsellors per member strategy allows a more thorough examination of the personal and interpersonal problems that can aggravate addiction. It also lets us focus on group and family programs so our members can build and rebuild the relationships that are essential to a full recovery.

 Member-First Culture

From initial contact to continuing care, our members and their loved ones experience our Member-First culture. Their experiences are the most important aspect of what we do.

 Personalized Treatment

We exceed our members’ expectations by tailoring their treatment plans to their specific needs so they can life a fulfilling life in their recovery.

 24/7 Medical Detox

We are one of the only private and drug and alcohol treatment centres in Canada with an onsite 24/7 medical detox unit.

 World-Class Facilities

Aurora Recovery Centre is a 45,000 square foot world-class treatment centre on shore of Lake Winnipeg. The wheelchair-accessible centre has a full theatre, game room, indoor swimming pool, gym and yoga studio.

I thought of rehab as a high-end detox for the first while. I could only see negatives. I eventually changed my perspective and I even asked to stay longer. I am glad I did. Every day I learn something new about myself, and I improve my ability to function as a member of my family/society. I couldn’t have made a better choice by coming to Aurora.

I have been to another rehab before Aurora. Coming here I thought I would never get anything positive out of it! I was wrong! Aurora got me back on track and feeling great about myself. I learned more about addiction and I am ready to go and use it in the real world, and I should be able to stay straight. Thanks a lot Aurora!

Aurora has saved my life without this program I would be missing out on my life with my wife and kids. It has also brought back my relationship with my God. This place is 100% worth every penny I have spent.

I have been to 3 previous rehabs over the past 15 years and continually relapsed. I now recognize at Aurora that I did not have the necessary tools to maintain my sobriety. My counsellors identified my issues and concerns and I must say they are the best counsellors on the planet!

Am I an Alcoholic?

Alcholism Self-Assessment Test

This short answer questionnaire is built to help you evaluate and reflect on your own relationship with alcohol. It is by no means an equivalent to a medical diagnosis.
