Aurora Recovery Centre Fun Run

The Aurora Recovery Centre Fun Run for Addictions Awareness is Sunday, September 2, 2018 with all funds raised donated to Resources Assistance for Youth in Winnipeg. Join us for an amazing 5km or 10km walk or run with your friends and family.

At 9:00 am, Erin O’Neil of Flow Wellness will be leading a group yoga session in the park. The race kicks off at 10:00 am with Mayor Randy Woroniuk giving our opening speech at 9:50. We have a special guest kicking off the race with a crowd rally at 9:55 am. Following the race there will be a BBQ to refuel all participants. While you enjoy lunch, we will have live music playing in the park by the Sacred Stones a fantastic country, fiddle, & rock’n roll band!

This is a family-friendly event! There will be a ton of fun activities your kid(s) can take part in, including:

  • Labyrinth obstacle maze
  • Large bouncer
  • Face painting
  • Bike decorating contest judging
  • Cotton candy & popcorn treats
  • Dunk Tank
  • Kids Zumba

At 12:30 we will have a special guest speaker address participants and close the event with an awards ceremony. The grand prize will be distributed at this time. You must be at the event to claim the grand prize.

Regardless of whether you choose to walk or run, all participants will be automatically entered to win our grand prize: the Ultimate Churchill Adventure for two, sponsored by Calm Air!
