Community Engagement and Branding
Michèle Stanners joined the Aurora Recovery Centre Team in November 2017. She is assisting with community engagement, branding, marketing, public relations and business development.
Michèle has been active in the recovery community for over 22 years and more broadly in Calgary and area as a creative community strategist and educator. Trained at the Harvard Kennedy School and MIT, Michèle leads an advisory practice specializing in growing the resilience of organizations and teams through community building, learning development, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable brand value creation. She is a Special Advisor to the Tsuut’ina First Nation and having worked with organizations including Alberta Ballet, Crow’s Theatre, Honens and the Alberta College of Art and Design, she is sought out for her unique talent to embrace and leverage the power of diversity in response to complex cultural and operational challenges.
Michèle is fluent in English and French and holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Combined Bachelor or Law/Master of Business Administration from the University of Alberta, as well as a Fellow/Associate of the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs and a Master of Theological Studies, Harvard Divinity School, Harvard University.
