Where are you located?
Aurora Recovery Centre is situated just north of Gimli, MB, approximately 1 hour from James Richardson International Airport in Winnipeg and 45 minutes from the city limits.
Do you require any clean time prior to admission?
Because Aurora has a fully operational Medical Detoxification unit, led by our Medical Director, clients can detox safely here at ARC, which means clean time prior to admission is not required.
Does Medical Insurance pay for treatment?

Although we require payment at the time of admission, we encourage individuals to submit their receipts for reimbursement with their insurance company. We will absolutely assist in providing any documentation your insurance company requires.

In order to be certain, we recommend you contact your insurance company.

How long is the program?
Aurora’s inpatient program varies with the needs of the client, but averages 30-45 days following detox (if required).
Are co-occurring disorders treated?

How is my privacy protected?
ARC takes every measure necessary to assure your privacy is protected. Confidentiality is crucial to your success at Aurora.
Are there private rooms?
Our philosophy is based on the belief that patients must learn new behaviors in order to help them recover from the disease of addiction. In most cases individuals suffering from this disorder have learned to isolate and hide what they are feeling. These tactics aid in maintaining their addiction while distancing themselves from family, friends, counselors and peers. As the disease has progressed, chemically dependent individuals find the company of people too painful, or too intrusive to bear. Here at Aurora, we use peer interaction (such as roommates) to allow our clients to re-learn how to interact and avoid isolation to help them deal with addictive behaviors. For this reason all rooms are shared and regular room checks are conducted by staff.
How do I apply for admission?
