FAQsGeneral questions and answers about Aurora Recovery
Where are you located?
Aurora Recovery Centre is situated just north of Gimli, MB, approximately 1 hour from James Richardson International Airport in Winnipeg and 45 minutes from the city limits.
Do you require any clean time prior to admission?
Because Aurora has a fully operational Medical Detoxification unit, led by our Medical Director, clients can detox safely here at ARC, which means clean time prior to admission is not required.
Does Medical Insurance pay for treatment?
More and more private Canadian and American insurance companies are covering treatment for addiction. Because individual insurance plans vary so much, individuals are required to pay for the cost of treatment at the time of admission and submit receipts for reimbursement directly to your insurance company. ARC will assist you by providing confirmation documentation as requested.
How long is the program?
Aurora’s inpatient program varies with the needs of the client, but averages 30-45 days following detox (if required).
Are co-occurring disorders treated?
