Aurora Alumni in the Community

Aurora Recovery Centre’s ARC Squad is a unique team of addiction recovery alumni who strive every day to heal, connect and recover their lives.

By sharing their stories and knowledge with the community, they help adults and youth cope with the pressures to abuse alcohol and drugs. Through reaching out and participating in charitable community events, Aurora alumni strives to find continued purpose in their lifelong recovery.

Committed to charity work, the ARC Squad donates time, energy and empathy to those in need in various areas of Manitoba. The ARC Squad maintains relationships with various Manitoban charities and organizes events to support their causes. Most notably, The Aurora Fun Run, organized by the ARC Squad, is an annual run in Gimli, MB that gives participants the option to run either 5 or 10 kilometres. The run supports various local charities, with proceeds from this year’s event going to RAY (Resource Assistance for Youth) in Winnipeg.

All ARC Squad Ambassadors are:

  • Graduates from our addiction treatment programs
  • Sober for at least 30 days
  • Sober for nine months for public speaking privileges
  • Active members in recovery
  • Motivated to impact their community
  • Committed to charity work

Aurora Recovery Centre’s philosophies are consistently reflected in the way we value our members and staff. Everything we do is in the interest of our members’ recovery for life.

Aurora’s treatment process is built upon a member-first culture and stands on three pillars that reflect our philosophy toward our members’ recovery: Heal, Connect and Recover.

From initial contact with Aurora, you begin to experience our Member-First Culture. Our highly experienced Addiction Specialists help you navigate the complex, emotional decision to admit to treatment.
